Jay Hiscox appointed Associate Director, Project Services

As part of the new organizational structure at Project Services, Jay Hiscox is appointed Associate Director leading the Renewal and Resilience team. Jay will continue to provide strategic leadership in the identification of whole buildings and system components in need of replacement, upgrading or renewal, and taking a lead role in planning short and long-term renewal and upgrade strategies. His role will also have enhanced responsibility around major capital and facility resilience planning, especially as it relates to long-term major capital renewal/replacement plans.

Jay Hiscox joined UBC in 2016 as Senior Project Manager, and later promoted as Senior Manager, Project Services. Prior to joining UBC, Jay was centrally involved in the Seismic Mitigation Program for the Vancouver School Board and worked on projects across a wide spectrum of building types and phases.

Jay is a Registered Professional Architect (AIBC) with experience on overseas projects in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and has been working in Vancouver offices since 1993.
