Project Summary
Project purpose: to update the front entrance for a more modern look and improve accessibility, and re-purpose an underused area for more efficient work and study space.
The outdated 1960s front entrance design was demolished and replaced with aluminum glazing to provide a refreshed and modern look. The renovations included new front doors with an automatic door opener for accessibility, brand new flooring and carpeting to the entryway, and LED dimmable lighting and ceiling. The formerly enclosed reserved shelving area was re-purposed to create an open space for lounge, study, and a meeting room for faculty, staff, and students. The librarian/patron consult space was also upgraded and reconfigured to provide a more efficient work space.
